Our mission is "Nurturing the Spiritual, Educational, Social and Physical Development of Children and Youth in Uptown Harrisburg."
Our main focus is to provide a safe place for children to learn and grow. Children ages 5-11 have been participating in the camp program since 1993. In 2015 a Teen Camp for youth ages 12-15 was instituted. Both camps are full day programs providing a variety of experiences to help our children grow and develop.
The heart of the program is centered around the 7 Pillars of Character:
The program director oversees a staff of bright and energetic counselors who are dedicated and committed to the well being, safety and development of our youth.
St. Barnabas is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization and all donations help subsidize tuition, going directly to services for the children. All contributions are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.
Fundraisers are necessary because tuition received only covers half of the summer operating expenses. The board of St. Barnabas sponsors a Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Radisson in Camp Hill every fall, as well as participating in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in the spring. Please consider supporting our children by participating in these fun events.
